The fall gathering of the MEM Program Consortium (MEMPC) was held at Northwestern University this year, on Wednesday and Thursday, October 22nd and 23rd. The conference was well-attended with representatives from all seven schools in the consortium present.
Things kicked off on Wednesday evening with a welcoming dinner at Farmhouse Tavern in Evanston. Thursday morning, conference attendees met for a continental breakfast in the Collaboration Space in the North Parking Garage, the new home of Northwestern’s MEM Program. Professor and Program Director Mark Werwath made the opening remarks and went on to discuss the goals of and challenges faced by each of the MEM programs in the consortium. The meeting continued through to the afternoon while guest speakers covered topics such as marketing and building awareness to expansion plans and entrepreneurship opportunities.
In the evening, over 30 students, faculty, and alumni met to wrap up the MEMPC conference in style with the MEMPC Alumni Networking Mixer, also held in Northwestern’s new MEM headquarters. Thanks goes out to everyone who helped to make this event a success!
The next meeting of the MEMPC will take place at MIT in the spring, date and time TBA.
