On October 28, students and faculty came together for the 2013 Faculty Networking event. The night provided students with the opportunity to meet with faculty members who teach in the program and learn more about the classes the courses they offer.
This also gave students the chance to hear more about the faculty themselves and to get recommendations on which classes they may want to take. It was set up so that groups of students chose the faculty to whom they wanted to speak. They then had seven minutes to listen to the professor speak and ask questions before rotating to the next faculty member. While the evening was a success, we learned that seven minutes just isn’t enough time– the students came prepared with great questions and kept the group conversation going right up until it was time to swap, and sometimes beyond!
