Iqbal Arshad is the Senior Vice President of Engineering in the Global Product Development division for Motorola, in Libertyville. The cell phone specialist has a laundry list of impressive accomplishments including leading the team that developed the successful Motorola Droid. Now Mr. Arshad is working on the much anticipated Moto X, which is intended to make a huge impact on the cell phone market and bolster Google’s name in the appliances market.
“We want to change the way people call, we want to change the way people search and we want to change the way people navigate,” states Mr. Arshad in a recent New York Times article. He’s heading the team developing the phone that includes incredible voice features that allow customers to control their phone without lifting a finger.
The phone has generated a lot of buzz and Mr. Arshad has been featured right along with it.
